Lindemann Audio Limetree Network II Player
The Limetree Network by Lindemann Audio was a network player designed to playback music from streaming services or local storage media in studio master quality. The new Network II represents a total revision of the original, with changes made to the features, ease of use and ultimately the sound produced.
What Lindemann say
The Limetree NETWORK is a high-grade network player which can playback music from streaming services and local storage media in studio master quality. It is connected to the network with a LAN cable or via WLAN. It offers an additional USB port for docking hard disk drives or USB storage media. Besides an analogue line-level output, the network player also features a high-quality headphone output.
New Features
D/A converter and analogue output stage (new development):
- Converter module ES9038 Sabre DAC. Ultra high resolution, integrated DPLL and SRC for jitter elimination. Briefly, one of the best D/A converter chips on the market.
- MEMS femto-clock < 500 fs clock jitter. Extremely stable clock with ultra-low phase noise for best sound results.
- High-quality analogue level control. Thus extremely low noise level. HF intermodulation of the converter module is attenuated together with the volume. Full resolution even at low levels.
- Excellent sounding headphone amplifier with high output current. Ultra-low distortions, high damping factor, drives headphones from 16 to 300 ohms.
- IR remote control for volume, mute and track selection.
- CD player operation – with external CD-ROM drive.
Integrated preamp with extended functions:
- Separate volume control for headphone and line output. Perfect for simultaneous operation with headphones and loudspeakers. Each output will remember its last volume setting.
- Balance control with a +/- 6 dB setting range (in 1 dB steps).
- Headphone volume with ideal gain range: 0 dB / + 12 dB. Useful e.g. with low-sensitivity magnetos.

Technology
The circuitry – designed around the powerful streaming platform – has been tuned for optimum signal quality. All music files are post-synchronized by an ultra precise FemtoClock. The data processed in this way are free from “jitter“, the most frequent cause of a poor digital playback quality. The sound is open, natural and follows the recording in its true sense.
For the output stage we use one of the finest amplifier modules on the market which sets new standards as a headphone amp not only in terms of metrology. For the power supply we use a high-quality “medical grade“ wall plug transformer which ensures a particularly good isolation from line disturbances. Owing to the elaborated onboard filtering and special voltage regulators, we were able to realize an exceptionally low-noise power supply with a ripple voltage below 10 µV.

Explicatii in ceea ce priveste rodajul echipamentelor, cat si al cablurilor, asezarea optima a echipamentelor in camera de auditie, importanta acusticii camerei si nu in ultimul rand sistemul de alimentare a intregului echipament:
PENTRU BOXE:
- Pentru performante optime este necesara pozitionarea boxelor la o distanta de minim 30-40cm de peretele din spate pentru boxele cu bass-reflex in spate, pentru cele cu bass-reflex in fata, recomandam pozitionarea la o distanta de 10-20cm fata de peretele din spate, dar totodata la o distanta de cel putin 50cm fata de peretii laterali. Tineti cont de faptul ca orice piesa de mobilier din incapere, joaca rol de absorbtie fonica, dar si de difuzie fonica daca acestea din urma sunt din materiale ceramica sau oglinzi, geamuri sau alt material reflectorizant. - Boxele vor ajunge sa functioneze in parametrii recomandati de producator, dupa minim 50 de ore (ideal 100 ore) de functionare la volum mediu. In aceasta perioada de timp, de “rodaj a boxelor”, sunetul va fi la inceput mai artificial, bass-ul nu va fi inca controlat, inaltele rigide iar vocile usor retinute, pe masura ce boxele vor functiona, veti remarca cum bas-ul devine mai controlat, mai prezent si mai voluminos, vocile si sunetele medii devin naturale si mai echilibrate, iar inaltele devin rafinate si detaliate. Exista boxe care necesita un „rodaj” mai amplu de minim 300 de ore mai ales in cazul celor care au difuzoare de kevlar, carbon sau alte materiale de acest tip. Boxele care se „rodeaza” cel mai repede sunt cele care au difuzoare de celuloza.

- Pentru performante optime este necesar „rodarea” echipamentului, In functie de complexitatea componentelor din aparatul dumneavoastra acesta poate dura intre 30-200 ore.
- Rodajul se face la volum minim, fiind astfel suficient faptul ca acesta este alimentat corect conform manualului de utilizare la 220-230 Volti si trece semnal audio sau video dupa caz prin el.
- Echipamentul supus „rodajului” va ajunge sa functioneze in parametrii recomandati de producator, dupa perioada mai sus mentionata. In aceasta perioada de timp, de “rodaj”, sunetul va fi la inceput ceva mai artificial, bass-ul nu va fi inca controlat, inaltele rigide iar vocile usor retinute, pe masura ce echipamentul va functiona, veti remarca cum bas-ul devine mai controlat, mai prezent si mai voluminos, vocile si sunetele medii devin naturale si mai echilibrate, iar inaltele devin rafinate si detaliate.
- In ceea ce priveste echipamentul video precum videoproiector, TV, media player, blueray player, necesita un "rodaj" de cel putin 50 de ore. Lipsa acestuia nu va poate oferi maxim de performanta. "Rodajul" se efectueaza prin simpla utilizare a acestuia, intr-un mod conform specificatiilor mentionate de producator.
PENTRU CABLURI:
- Pentru performante optime este necesara „rodarea” cablurilor, In functie de complexitatea conductorului folosit, cat si geometriei acestuia, „rodajul” poate dura intre 30-100 ore.
- Rodajul se face la volum minim, fiind astfel suficient faptul ca va trece semnal audio sau video dupa caz prin el.
- Cablul supus „rodajului” va ajunge sa functioneze in parametrii recomandati de producator, dupa perioada mai sus mentionata.
