Smart Townus 2
We are proud to present our brand new loudspeaker series Townus, with which we would like to appeal to all people for whom timeless design and high-quality appeal are important. In reference to the roots and the location of our company headquarters, in the middle of the Hessian Taunus, we have created the same sounding name Townus for the new loudspeaker models. The newly created Townus series captivates with its timeless, elegant design and its high-quality materials – ideal for urban people who value design and quality. In the word creation Townus, we also refer to the connection between the modern and pulsating life in a town and the rather quiet and rural Taunus, where the creators of this timeless and modern speaker series have their origins.
Smart Townus 2
With the Smart Townus 2, we present the latest member of our large Smart family. In the same design as the passive Townus models, the smart variant with its extensive equipment and the best technical ingredients will cause enthusiasm. The Smart Townus 2 scores with its timeless elegance, outstanding build quality and, of course, its excellent sound characteristics. This makes the Smart Townus 2 compact speakers the ideal playing partner for anyone looking for speakers that are visually unobtrusive, but sonically the measure of all things. The fully active Smart Townus 2 are equipped with powerful amplifiers that provide 350 watts of power to each speaker. This eliminates the need for external amplifiers and speaker cables. Simply place them in the desired location, connect the power cable and the external player, and you’re ready to enjoy listening in your home. The wireless signal transmission with 24-bit signal processing between the speakers ensures music reproduction of the highest quality.
Comfortable Connection
Our Smart Townus 2 makes it easy for you: You can connect whatever your hi-fi heart desires to the numerous inputs. For this purpose, analogue connections are available in high-quality XLR and Cinch versions, in addition to the digital variants in optical and coaxial design. A USB input with XMOS enables contact with computers and, of course, our Smart Townus 2 can stream music in the best quality wirelessly via Bluetooth with aptX. We include a selection of cables so you can start listening to music right away at home. Thanks to the Smart Townus 2’s smart features, you can expand the compact speakers with additional Smart speakers from Canton – for example, with the Smart Townus 8 floorstanding speaker. In this way, you can build a high-sounding home cinema set in single-room operation or integrate your Smart Townus 2 as an excellent-sounding member in a Multiroom system.
Excellent components
Despite their compact dimensions, the elegant Smart Townus 2 speakers impress with a broadband, powerful sound image – they reproduce the deepest bass, neutral mids and brilliant highs with effortless ease. A powerful 154 mm bass-midrange driver with a stiff and low-resonance titanium cone, suspended in a latest-generation wave surround, combined with the integrated 350 watt Class D amplifier, ensures the impressive dynamics of the compact speaker. The high-end 25 mm aluminium oxide ceramic tweeter uses a precisely calculated transmission front plate to optimise sound dispersion and coupling. Our wave-beading technology, the very solidly built enclosures and the strategically placed damping material keep sound-damaging resonances away from these speakers. The screwless Diamond-Cut aluminium rings of the drivers used are not only a visual highlight – they also increase the stability of the tweeter and bass-midrange driver. In addition, the generous cabinet roundings minimise the influence of edge diffractions and thus ensure a more stable reproduction of the spatial sound. Magnetically adhering oval fabric covers add the finishing touches to the Smart Townus 2.
Standalone & Teamplayer
You can use the Smart Townus 2, quite classically, as a stereo speaker and combine it as you wish with other speakers from the Canton Smart family. In this way, you can create a 4.0 home cinema system in no time at all, without any wiring. The centre channel is created virtually, with precise dialogue reproduction and the best speech intelligibility from the mids. Canton’s rigid Titanium Double Cone cones not only ensure a tidy appearance, they also guarantee dynamic bass reproduction with the highest precision and best timing. With the Smart Connect 5.1, you can expand your system almost at will: make your Smart Townus 2 the main speaker of a multi-channel surround system and supplement it with additional speakers from our Smart series. In this way, you can expand your personal home cinema step by step up to a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos configuration – for impressive film sound from all directions.

Explicatii in ceea ce priveste rodajul echipamentelor, cat si al cablurilor, asezarea optima a echipamentelor in camera de auditie, importanta acusticii camerei si nu in ultimul rand sistemul de alimentare a intregului echipament:
PENTRU BOXE:
- Pentru performante optime este necesara pozitionarea boxelor la o distanta de minim 30-40cm de peretele din spate pentru boxele cu bass-reflex in spate, pentru cele cu bass-reflex in fata, recomandam pozitionarea la o distanta de 10-20cm fata de peretele din spate, dar totodata la o distanta de cel putin 50cm fata de peretii laterali. Tineti cont de faptul ca orice piesa de mobilier din incapere, joaca rol de absorbtie fonica, dar si de difuzie fonica daca acestea din urma sunt din materiale ceramica sau oglinzi, geamuri sau alt material reflectorizant. - Boxele vor ajunge sa functioneze in parametrii recomandati de producator, dupa minim 50 de ore (ideal 100 ore) de functionare la volum mediu. In aceasta perioada de timp, de “rodaj a boxelor”, sunetul va fi la inceput mai artificial, bass-ul nu va fi inca controlat, inaltele rigide iar vocile usor retinute, pe masura ce boxele vor functiona, veti remarca cum bas-ul devine mai controlat, mai prezent si mai voluminos, vocile si sunetele medii devin naturale si mai echilibrate, iar inaltele devin rafinate si detaliate. Exista boxe care necesita un „rodaj” mai amplu de minim 300 de ore mai ales in cazul celor care au difuzoare de kevlar, carbon sau alte materiale de acest tip. Boxele care se „rodeaza” cel mai repede sunt cele care au difuzoare de celuloza.

- Pentru performante optime este necesar „rodarea” echipamentului, In functie de complexitatea componentelor din aparatul dumneavoastra acesta poate dura intre 30-200 ore.
- Rodajul se face la volum minim, fiind astfel suficient faptul ca acesta este alimentat corect conform manualului de utilizare la 220-230 Volti si trece semnal audio sau video dupa caz prin el.
- Echipamentul supus „rodajului” va ajunge sa functioneze in parametrii recomandati de producator, dupa perioada mai sus mentionata. In aceasta perioada de timp, de “rodaj”, sunetul va fi la inceput ceva mai artificial, bass-ul nu va fi inca controlat, inaltele rigide iar vocile usor retinute, pe masura ce echipamentul va functiona, veti remarca cum bas-ul devine mai controlat, mai prezent si mai voluminos, vocile si sunetele medii devin naturale si mai echilibrate, iar inaltele devin rafinate si detaliate.
- In ceea ce priveste echipamentul video precum videoproiector, TV, media player, blueray player, necesita un "rodaj" de cel putin 50 de ore. Lipsa acestuia nu va poate oferi maxim de performanta. "Rodajul" se efectueaza prin simpla utilizare a acestuia, intr-un mod conform specificatiilor mentionate de producator.
