    TOMANEK AUDIO POWER model TAP5S+ 5-socket power strip for powering audiophile equipment.

    The TAP5S+ power strip is equipped with 5 Schuko-type sockets and an IEC-type input socket (4 sockets with Schaffner filters and a1 socket with a DC-Blocker).

    Interference protection for equipment supplied via the TAP5S+ is implemented in the form of four independent Schaffner filters (one for each power socket). Thanks to the fact that each socket has its own filter, devices plugged into the strip not only have separation from the power source, but also from each other (they do not interfere with each other when plugged into one strip). The same is true of the sockets equipped with a DC-blocker constant component filter; it is a single DC-blocker designed for one socket only.

    This combination provides very effective interference suppression and allows a high current load on the strip (5 A for each socket, but not more than 16 A in total for all sockets). The power strip can therefore be used to supply power to devices with high current consumption, such as power amplifiers, as well as all other components of the audio system.

    One socket in the strip is equipped with a DC-blocker, this socket is dedicated to amplifiers equipped with traditional transformers.

    The DC-blocker is a device/filter whose task is to eliminate the unwanted DC component of the 230 V supply voltage. DC is a ubiquitous phenomenon caused mainly by impulse devices (e.g. switched-mode power supplies) and all types of inverters. In the home, sources of this phenomenon can be e.g. washing machines, internal power supplies for TVs, TV tuners, routers, switches, phone chargers, power supplies for computers and laptops, etc.

    The DC component has a negative effect on transformers in audio equipment – it causes their core to become magnetised, which brings with it a significant increase in the volume of their operation (so-called buzzing), increased heating of the transformer and a distortion of the sinusoidal shape of the voltage. All these negative effects of the presence of the DC component in the 230 V mains translate into a deterioration of the performance of power amplifiers and other audio equipment. A secondary effect is also a significant increase in the current consumption of audio equipment, which is largely lost in the form of excessive transformer heating and an increase in the volume of their mains transformers. The DC-blocker eliminates all the negative effects of the presence of DC. Simply plug it in between the 230 V socket and the device plug.

    The socket equipped with the DC-blocker has a load capacity of 1500 W (~6.52A).

    The backbone of the strip is a robust powder-coated metal housing with compact dimensions of 70 x 90 x 310 mm. This design provides the skirting board with very high mechanical strength and resistance to electromagnetic interference. Schaffner filters are located on a common board inside the casing.

    Explicatii in ceea ce priveste rodajul echipamentelor, cat si al cablurilor, asezarea optima a echipamentelor in camera de auditie, importanta acusticii camerei si nu in ultimul rand sistemul de alimentare a intregului echipament:

    PENTRU BOXE:

    - Pentru performante optime este necesara pozitionarea boxelor la o distanta de minim 30-40cm de peretele din spate pentru boxele cu bass-reflex in spate, pentru cele cu bass-reflex in fata, recomandam pozitionarea la o distanta de 10-20cm fata de peretele din spate, dar totodata la o distanta de cel putin 50cm fata de peretii laterali. Tineti cont de faptul ca orice piesa de mobilier din incapere, joaca rol de absorbtie fonica, dar si de difuzie fonica daca acestea din urma sunt din materiale ceramica sau oglinzi, geamuri sau alt material reflectorizant.     - Boxele vor ajunge sa functioneze in parametrii recomandati de producator, dupa minim 50 de ore (ideal 100 ore) de functionare la volum mediu. In aceasta perioada de timp, de “rodaj a boxelor”, sunetul va fi la inceput mai artificial, bass-ul nu va fi inca controlat, inaltele rigide iar vocile usor retinute, pe masura ce boxele vor functiona, veti remarca cum bas-ul devine mai controlat, mai prezent si mai voluminos, vocile si sunetele medii devin naturale si mai echilibrate, iar inaltele devin rafinate si detaliate. Exista boxe care necesita un „rodaj” mai amplu de minim 300 de ore mai ales in cazul celor care au difuzoare de kevlar, carbon sau alte materiale de acest tip. Boxele care se „rodeaza” cel mai repede sunt cele care au difuzoare de celuloza.

    - Pentru performante optime este necesar „rodarea” echipamentului, In functie de complexitatea componentelor din aparatul dumneavoastra acesta poate dura intre 30-200 ore.

    - Rodajul se face la volum minim, fiind astfel suficient faptul ca acesta este alimentat corect conform manualului de utilizare la 220-230 Volti si trece semnal audio sau video dupa caz prin el.

    - Echipamentul supus „rodajului” va ajunge sa functioneze in parametrii recomandati de producator, dupa perioada mai sus mentionata. In aceasta perioada de timp, de “rodaj”, sunetul va fi la inceput ceva mai artificial, bass-ul nu va fi inca controlat, inaltele rigide iar vocile usor retinute, pe masura ce echipamentul va functiona, veti remarca cum bas-ul devine mai controlat, mai prezent si mai voluminos, vocile si sunetele medii devin naturale si mai echilibrate, iar inaltele devin rafinate si detaliate.

    - In ceea ce priveste echipamentul video precum videoproiector, TV, media player, blueray player, necesita un "rodaj" de cel putin 50 de ore. Lipsa acestuia nu va poate oferi maxim de performanta. "Rodajul" se efectueaza prin simpla utilizare a acestuia, intr-un mod conform specificatiilor mentionate de producator.

     

    PENTRU CABLURI:

    - Pentru performante optime este necesara „rodarea” cablurilor, In functie de complexitatea conductorului folosit, cat si geometriei acestuia, „rodajul” poate dura intre 30-100 ore.

    - Rodajul se face la volum minim, fiind astfel suficient faptul ca va trece semnal audio sau video dupa caz prin el.

    - Cablul supus „rodajului” va ajunge sa functioneze in parametrii recomandati de producator, dupa perioada mai sus mentionata.
